- The synagogue roof needs replacing. If anyone would like to give a special gift for this, we would be most grateful.
- Beginner’s dance practice with Randyl Kirkland Saturday at 8:30 am. Dance practice for use in services with Irene Clark at 9:00 am on Saturday. Both are in the small sanctuary.

There will be two rehearsal times to choose from for children who wish to participate in the children's dance for Sukkot:
- 9:30 am before service or 12:30 - 1:00 pm during Oneg.
- Please see Susan Dunn for details or call her at 381-1602.
- Jonah study follows the service today at 12:30 pm. Prayer walks at 3:30 pm and closing service at 5:00 pm. Anyone with a shofar may join in with shofar blasts at the end. Break the Fast meal and Lord’s Supper occur after evening service, please bring a feast to share! Shofar contests for the children will be after the meal.
- Sukkah Construction! Monday, October 10, 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. Please contact Robert Ramos if you can help.
- Sukkah dedication/decoration on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 5:30 pm followed by dinner and movie. See youth for tickets.
- The Johnson’s are having their annual Sukkah decorating and celebration Chavurah on Friday, Oct 14th at 6 PM. This event is open to all. As usual, please bring food/drink to share. This will be an open house style event.
- Feast of Tabernacles celebration with Dan and Melissa David, Tikvat Worship team and dancers – Sat., Oct. 15, at 7:00 PM.
- CHANGE! New Members’ class begins Thursday, Oct. 20, 6:15 PM, for 5 weeks. Dinner $5.00 per person. If you would like to attend, you can fill out an admin sheet, contact the office at 355-5709 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Child care provided.
- Note: The bookstore will be closed during Yom Kippur.

- Left behind? Lost? Leaving it for someone else? Donation? MANY items have been found at the synagogue over the last few weeks. If dropping off items for someone else please label them with the recipients name for identification purposes. Please label any donations for Tikvat, label as such and drop them off in the small sanctuary on the table labeled “donations”. If you have lost something please send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call the office at 355-5709. All lost items are now locked up during the week and will be disposed of after three weeks.
- In regards to the holidays, we encourage you to read the relevant sections in Blu Greenberg's book How to Run a Traditional Jewish Household which can now be found in our bookstore.
- We are going to print a new congregational directory for 5772. Please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with any change/addition/removal requests for the directory no later than October 28, 2011. If you do not have access to email, please fill out an Admin Request Form and deposit it in the box labeled Admin Requests (both are in the Blvd. foyer).
